The First Book I Ever Read

Justify FullBart Simpson's - Guide To Life

I remember when I got this book. My uncle and I went to Safeway ( Now Morrison's) to get some stuff for the house. I saw the book and I asked if I could get it. At the time I was obsessed, in love consumed by the Simpson's phenomenon. My brother and I would watch the show every weekday at 6pm on sky one and the new episodes on Sunday's at the same time on the same channel. I used to watch the Simpson's some much that I knew the lines and when there were breaks in the show.

Like any book it is broken down into chapters but unlike other books this touches on key things in life such as science, religion, art & culture, language & communication. Also the obvious for a guide to life with the likes of food, school, parents and sex among other topics covered,

Why do I love this book apart it being a Simpson's based book. It was aimed boys around my age at the time. The book includes all the other Simpson's so you don't miss out on them. While aimed at kids it does have things in it that would be more often than not found in adult books such as 3 types of brain and a heaven vs hell debate.

The book is done in Matt Groening's fantastic tongue in cheek style. Intelligent bright people will find it fun, witty and intriguing. Where as uptight people will take it literally and take to the streets burning piles of it.

In a recent audio book that the Gervais, Merchant and Pilkington trio put out. Karl was asked to think up the best animal he could, this book does that but uses the title "The Ultimate Dream Pet".

The also cut close on some issues such as religion. But overall this book is fantastic, filled with over the top ideas and intelligent points. It is great for kids who are inquisitive and like to learn.

I have read this book about 3 or 4 times maybe more. I wish they had updated a few years along the line would have been good to see what else they could have come up with.

So in summary great book for kids and Simpson's fans alike. Note if you are really easily offended by questions about religion don't read this book. My first and probably favourite book. This book is STEAK SAUCE.

My Favourite Cereals

5. Frosties - Sugar flakes which are heavily marketed at kids. They have the classic Tony the tiger mascot as they're marketing tool towards kids. They are called something else in america, know as Frosted Flakes.

4. Weetabix Minis Chocolate Crisp - For chocolate lovers and weetabix lovers combined. Shame they only come in small boxes though.

3. Cookie Crisp - Another for chocolate lovers and cookie lovers. They have a wolf as there marketing tool. Made by Nestle who dont really come to mind when you think of great cereal makers but this cereal tastes awesome.

2. Ricicles - Used to eat it more often than not when I was younger. Went away from it as I grew up but in recent weeks I bought it again. It's better than it was before, basically rice krispies with sugar. Taste so good with ice cold milk but be careful of brain freeze.

1. Coco Pops - My all time favourite cereals, as long as I live i will have to buy it. That's if they keep making it when I'm 60/70 years old. The chocolatey taste, the turning of regular milk into chocolate milk is every chocolate lovers and kids dream. A monkey as their marketing tool is genius because everybody loves monkeys. According to the kelloggs.com website they dont exist in the US. With hot or cold milk it tastes so good. I know people will think I'm nuts but my favourite is a big bowl of Coco Pops with a cup of hot tea. Obviously, not for everybodys tastes but to me it is fantastic.

Grapes - Juicy and firm. But they do go off very quickly.

Cranberries and Rasberries - Of the berry family of course. Are fantastic to eat with all sorts of different food stuffs. Such as ice cream or cake.

Tomatoes - A classic sandwich, pizza and salad staple.

Apples - Red or green they taste really good whether you like sweet or sour apples.
